Outflow from YSO and Angular Momentum Transfer

چکیده
Dynamical contraction of a slowly-rotating magnetized cloud is studied using the magnetohydrodynamical (MHD) simulations. In the isothermal stage (n ∼ < nA ∼ 10 cm), the cloud evolves similarly to that expected from Larson-Penston self-similar solution and experiences the run-away collapse. However, after the central density exceeds ∼ nA, an accretion disk is formed around the adiabatic core. Just outside the core, outflow is ejected by the effect of magnetic torque (magnetocentrifugal wind). Since ∼ 10% of the mass is ejected with almost all the angular momentum, the specific angular momentum of the protostellar core reduces to that observed in main-sequence stars.

A Simplified Solution for Advection Dominated Accretion Flows with Outflow
The existence of outflow in the advection dominated accretion flows has been confirmed by both numerical simulations and observations. The outow models for ADAF have been investigated by several groups with a simple self similar solution. But this solution is inaccurate at the inner regions and can not explain the emitted spectrum of the flow; so, it is necessary to obtain a global solution for...
متن کاملTurbulence Driven by Outflow - Blown Cavities in the Molecular Cloud of Ngc 1333
Outflows from young stellar objects have been identified as a possible source of turbulence in molecular clouds. To investigate the relationship between outflows, cloud dynamics and turbulence, we compare the kinematics of the molecular gas associated with NGC 1333, traced in CO(1-0), with the distribution of young stellar objects (YSOs) within. We find a velocity dispersion of ∼ 1− 1.6km/s in ...
متن کاملThe Evolution of the Angular Momentum Distribution during Star Formation.
If the angular momentum of the molecular cloud core were conserved during the star formation process, a newborn star would rotate much faster than its fission speed. This constitutes the angular momentum problem of newborn stars. In this Letter, the angular momentum transfer in the contraction of a rotating magnetized cloud is studied with axisymmetric MHD simulations. Because of the large dyna...
متن کاملOutflow Driven Cavities: Numerical Simulations of Intermediaries of Protostellar Turbulence
We investigate the evolution of fossil cavities produced by extinct YSO jets and wide angle outflows. Fossil cavities are ellipsoidal or cylindrical shells of swept-up of ambient (molecular cloud) material moving at low velocities. The cavities form when the momentum in a YSO jet or wide angle outflow decays in time allowing the bowshock or swept-up shell to decelerate to velocities near the tu...
متن کاملMonte Carlo simulations of H I line formation in massive YSO disk winds
Massive young stellar objects (YSOs) are powerful infrared H I line emitters. It has been suggested that these lines form in a outflow from a disk surrounding the YSO. Here, new two-dimensional Monte Carlo radiative transfer calculations are described which test this hypothesis. Infrared spectra are synthesised for a YSO disk wind model based on earlier hydrodynamical calculations. The model sp...
